You have the chance to experience the Madeira Island lifestyle by visiting our private home where you will be hosted by the wonderful Ferraz family, one of the top wine producers in Madeira, that will have the pleasure of presenting their wines for dinner. You will learn how to do the typical Madeiran “espetada” and learn about their wines. “Espetada” consists on beef on the skewer seasoned with local herbs such as bay laurel and garlic served with “bolo do caco” homemade bread, fried corn, potatos boiled in fresh herbs and salad.

The products used in our activities are preferably of organic origin from the season, whenever possible, and from their own farm, like potatos, salad or fresh fruit for dessert, including other local specialities . You learn the recipes step by step and participate if you wish as well.

Enjoy the magnificent landscape in a relaxing atmosphere in the garden of an Madeiran family, try several different wines produced by Ferraz family ,accompanied by appetizing tastings including starters, main course and desserts all paired with different wines produced in a volcanic terroir.

How to Book a Tour with us?

It's easy! You can book tickets online HERE

  • Starts in town, the exact location will be sent together with your booking confirmation.
  • Tickets have to be purchased until 6:00 PM on the previous day.
  • Our culinary tour lasts 3h30m and involves some walking so be sure to bring comfortable footwear. There are no hills but a few steps.
  • You can e-mail us about special dietary requirements prior to the tour. We will try to adapt to your own food restrictions (gluten free, allergies, and others…)
  • Don't forget to bring a camera, you'll want to remember these great places and show them to all to your family and friends for when they come back to Madeira.
  • We respect the safety distance.
  • Reduce the maximum number of people per tour.
